In addition, if you install your Channeltron® electron multiplier and are not completely satisfied with its performance, return it promptly for replacement or refund.

High Pressure Channel Electron Multipliers
With the advent of portable mass spectrometers, it became necessary for ion detection systems to operate efficiently in less-than-ideal environments.  The ability to expand the use of these types of detectors to high pressure applications provides an opportunity for weight, cost, and power reduction for existing instrumentation.

PHOTONIS has been manufacturing such high-pressure channel electron multipliers since 1998.  As a leader in this area of research and development, PHOTONIS has developed a series of products that provide unparalleled detection at pressures as high as 10-2 Torr.

PHOTONIS offers three unique product lines to support high pressure channel electron multipliers.  The unique Spiraltron™ technology provides a six-channel structure with a spiral structure that significantly reduces ion feedback from residual gas molecules.  The MegaSpiraltron™ is a small and robust ion detector that can achieve high gain while maintaining low noise. The PHOTONIS MAGNUM® detectors use six separate spiral multiplier channels fed by a single integral ion collection aperture, and are available on a variety of detector assemblies for plug-and-play field replacement.

Magnum electron multipliers®
MAGNUM Electron Multipliers® offer exceptional performance for optimum mass resolution, dynamic range, and detection sensitivity in Mass Spectrometry measurements. This performance boost is a result of PHOTONIS SPIRALTRON™ technology using six individual spiral multiplier channels, fed by a single integral ion collection aperture. The high degree of channel curvature ensures that ion feedback noise is virtually eliminated.
